Transcend Coffee is about to receive 20 pounds of coffee from Hacienda La Esmeralda. This plantation in Panama produced the winning coffee in the SCAA 2006 Best of Panama, and we are excited to announce that we will have 20 pounds of this very rare coffee. Forbes Magazine featured this coffee as the second most expensive coffee and Mark Prince of coffeegeek.com raves about how good this coffee is in one of his podcasts. The Esmeralda Special has been known to sell for as much as $50 US per half pound. At Transcend, we are committed to bringing you the best coffees from around the world, and we have been able to secure this coffee at a rate which will allow us to offer this amazing coffee at a mere $35 CDN per half pound. Given the rarity of this coffee, we will only be offering it in 1/2 pound quantities. While we hope to receive the coffee in the next day or so, we are restricting the sale of this coffee to pre-orders only. In fact, we will be using this coffee to launch our Artisan Reserve program where we will from time-to-time offer our customers exceptional coffees that are both rare and delightful. These coffees will come in a signed and numbered bag and will offer those who participate a rare chance to taste coffee at its absolute finest. If you would like to be added to our growing list of subscribers, please email me at poul@transcendcoffee.com. This offering is first-come-first-served and when the coffee is spoken for it will all be gone for good. Stay tuned for when we plan to roast this amazing coffee.
We will likely offer customers a chance to try this amazing coffee at the coffee bar, where you will be able to buy a single Bodum of coffee for a mere $5 per cup. We will give advanced notice of when it will be available.
Cheers
