Slaves to Stuff

Tonight we got into it about Kingdom living.  At Disciple we, or more accurately I got onto a rant about the lack of Kingdom living we do, and part of why I think we struggle with Kingdom is that we are too pre-occupied with our stuff.  I am one of the worst offenders, and I feel so hypocritical preaching about it, and yet, even the preacher needs to be convicted.  I drove into my garage tonight and knew instantly that the stuff needs to go.  What the heck am I teaching my son?  All he sees is lots of stuff all over the place, and he is learning already at his young age of 3 to model everything he sees.  God grant us mercy as we learn to live Kingdom lives in community free from the bondage of stuff.  Oh if we could just muster this bit, I bet some shiny faces might appear.
