Today I popped by Discovery Coffee early, and had a chance to hang and chat with Logan. It was great to talk to someone who is on the journey as we are, and 5 months ahead of where we want to be. They are roasting about 100 lbs a day and have 25 wholesale customers. The espresso was fantastic, aromatic, with a nice bite without being bitter or astringent; great crema too. The Clover is a great piece of equipment and we will definitely have to work towards being the first place in Alberta with one. It was encouraging to talk to someone who is doing what we are doing and having success at it. In short it accentuates the need to stay the course and continue celebrating our high quality, including charging a premium for the superior product. Well enough from me, we are heading to Gabriola today, so it is unlikely that I will have any computer contact for a good week. Cheers.
