Two days and a trickle

Well we have officially been open for two days, and as my friend Brian says, at least we have some cash flow; which is true, up until now the cash has all been flowing out and now, finally there is a drip in the opposite direction; no pun intended.  Long days... up at 5 AM to get to the shop and do some roasting before 7:30.  Thankfully, it has been quiet in the mornings so I have gotten some roasting done until around 9.  After that, I sit and wait, while doing this little odd job, etc.  When folk actually drop in it is quiet enjoyable and the reviews on the coffee are quite good.  I was cupping a bit today and was unimpressed with the Sumatra that I tasted, but then I have come to discover that my standards are quite a bit higher than the average coffee drinker.  I will appreciate it more, when the cash flow is more of a stream than a drip, but we have to start somewhere.  I had great intentions of heading back to the shop to do some accounting, but in truth, I am bagged.  The cushy life of mr. consultant is now over and now I am mr. coffee and self-impoverished entrepreneur.  Lord grant us peace.
