Today, one of my friends was helping me at the shop. As we worked he talked about his 2 1/2 year old daughter and her prayer last night befor she went to sleep. She apparently had a rough day fighting with her little sister, causing mom all kinds of grief. Needless to say, her prayer at the end of the day serves, I think, as a model prayer for us all. It is simple and easy to remember... as she prayed "thank-you Jesus for this terrible day". Seven simple and yet profound words which struck me as a wonderful prayer. We are usually content to thank God when all is right in the world, but seldom do we offer up thanksgiving when the day has been terrible. Out of the mouth of babes. Thanks L.
